I'll say that the game is well made and simple, the latter part is to be expected because of it being made for a jam. There was only one bug that I encountered, one ending encountered an error when I went for it. Which was fixed in 1.1.

The story is, like said earlier, fairly simple. You play as a ghost thrust into a new world and in need of a body. There's a total of four characters that you see, but you only really talk with two of them and even then only in depth of a single one. Still, simple isn't bad. The story, as it currently is, is focused on how the protagonist interacts with the dollmaker and what body they choose to inhabit temporarily. This amounts to being either nice or rude to him and choosing one of a few options in regards to your body. There's no bad endings present, with the worst ending being that the dollmaker gets a little annoyed if you were consistently rude to him and chose not to get a body.

In terms of characters, the short length keeps us from really exploring the characters in depth, but what's seen is consistent and well written. What's set up for the setting is interesting even there wasn't much of an opportunity to explore it given the short length.

Overall, there's only one nitpick that I have. The text in choices are a bit inconsistent in how they're written, some all lower case and some with the first letter being capitalized properly.

Tl;DR Short but sweet game.

For where to expand if you decide to do so, I'd like more of a chance to interact with the other characters at the party. It seems the most opportune chance to expand on them and do some world building at the same time. An alternative would be to add some more wandering before Sasha and Phoebe appear so that there'd be more of a description of the setting.

I've finally gotten around to playing through this game and will agree that it's pretty good. Honestly would like to see a sequel some day even if I'm not sure how you'd handle it narratively. My main complaints are with the ending, the controls, and the short length.

I won't harp on the ending too much, since there seems to be a consensus there. The fact there wasn't a gotcha where Yuki turned out to be evil or victory actually being impossible is worthy of praise. Too much horror media thinks that a sudden twist at the end where victory is yanked away last second is quality writing. So I'm glad you didn't, even if I'd have liked there to be more choice in how it ends rather than be so vague. I'm hesitant to actually call it anticlimactic given that it comes after a difficult fight, but it'd work better with some falling action of some kind.

This might be a bit of bias, but I'm not too fond of the controls. Both styles feel clunky and the lack of controller support makes it harder to work with for me. That being said, this is a relatively minor problem in the grand scheme of things and I understand that a lot of work is involved with this kind of stuff. So I wouldn't worry too much about it in the long run.

As for the short length, I feel that it would've been nice to have a slightly longer and more involved story. As it is, it's not bad but I was surprised at just how quickly I got through it. I also understand that this isn't as simple as pressing a, "more content" button. And what's there is by no means bad, maybe a bit simple, but still good.

I still have no idea what caused the problem in the first place, but I think I got it to work now? I tried extracting to something other than the default folder and after a brief test there hasn't been a crash.

I've got a weird problem when trying to play this game. When I first downloaded it, everything worked fine. But the moment I actually hit "New Game" the game crashed and deleted the exe. When I tried to extract it again, everything but the Windows exe was extracted. Even the Macosx exe file. The Windows file simply says that "Access is Denied" even after redownloading.

This is a really good game! I managed to get all of the unbreakable endings but was a little disappointed that the game didn't have something for that. But I completely understand why that would be the case.

Another problem, the game seems to lock up near the end. Two lines after the dark elf insults the magic instructor, the game stops doing anything. It just stays stuck on the screen of her.

Found a bug with Ram. When you talk with her about the cat, two of the answers cause her to run through every possible response and neither effects morale. The only one that reacts normally is, "I couldn't either. They're too cute!"

Thank you. Should the guards have their relationship meter shown in their conversation page? It's shown in the status screen but not there. It's shown for the instructors, alchemist, head guard, and Mavie.

I have a problem, the stats keeps changing at random. I can gain intelligence then come back to have it back at zero.

Thank you for the answer! Played a few games where corrupting others always lowered the relationship with them and it's always bugged me. I'm happy that isn't happening here.

I'm excited! But a quick question though. When corrupting other characters, is the relationship stat altered?

I just want you to know that this game so far is great! I'll be looking into getting the paid version when I have a little more spending money.
